This assignment asked students to model any bicycle of their choice. Wanting to demonstrate my ability to reproduce real-world objects, I chose a bicycle that prominently displays detailed elements. The biggest challenge was matching details, such as the spokes, chain, gears, and brakes to images of an actual bicycle, a challenge made more difficult by the lack of orthographic drawings. In modeling this complex object, I broke it down into many components and focused on modeling each component in isolation without concern for the oftentimes daunting task of modeling the rest of the bicycle.
