Inspired by my interest in space sci-fi, I used this theme for this assignment which asked students to model any kind of treasure chest and an environment for it. The common challenge of matching models to real objects was replaced with the challenge of inventing objects that allowed viewers to suspend disbelief. I decided to break the mold of the typical treasure chest, opting for an angular shape and metallic materials, filling it with neat stacks of a gold-like material.
